Cheryl Cole hasn’t seen her husband for weeks, prompting speculation they couple have split up.

The Girls Aloud singer is currently on tour and has reportedly not seen football star Ashley for almost a month. 27-year-old Ashley failed to watch Cheryl perform at London’s O2 arena recently, but according to sources, Cheryl was not bothered by the snub.

A source close to the singer told Britain’s Star magazine: 'Time on the road away from Ashley seems to be the perfect medicine for Cheryl. 'She seems to be happier than she’s been for ages – and she hasn’t seen Ashley for weeks.

'Everyone is asking what’s going on and whether they’ve admitted to themselves that they don’t have a future together. 'Cheryl’s really having a laugh at the moment, it’s like she’s a single girl again.'

The couple’s marriage hit the rocks in January this year when it emerged that Chelsea FC player Ashley reportedly cheated on his 24-year-old wife with hairdresser Aimee Walton.

Cheryl was said to have given Ashley another chance – but only if he obeyed a string of rules which included no partying and staying in constant contact.
