Czechs cannot hide from training ground spies
By Sonia Oxley
SEEFELD, Austria (Reuters) - Czech Republic, worried about being spied upon at a training ground surrounded by mountains, are taking extra measures to keep their Euro 2008 strategy under wraps. "We need to adjust the way we practice various tactics which maybe we just outline on the field and then complete with the players in peace at the hotel," coach Karel Brueckner told reporters on Wednesday. "In the age of satellites and other observation systems there is nowhere to hide," he added with a smile. In spite of their best efforts to drape material around the perimeter to conceal the goings on, the Czech squad will always struggle to hold a closed training session. The Czechs launch their Group A campaign against Switzerland in Basel on Saturday. Portugal and Turkey are also in the group. |
