When registering on Discover Europe Talk we ask you to agree to certain rules. If you are already a member you have agreed to these rules and they are reproduced here as a reminder. If you are not yet a member, these are the rules you must agree to before you can become a member. You also agree to receive our members updates and newsletter via PM or email.

• Only one account per person is permitted
• Do not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated (unless in an appropriate context of genuine advice), hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws. Do not post anything that could in any way be construed as offensive, illicit or defamatory.
• No useless posts. This includes: Thread bumping, useless one liners, Flamewars, Trolling and Spamming.
• No duplicate threads. If a thread exists a couple of pages away covering the same issues then the new one will be deleted.
  Take a moment and look through the first few pages to see if it has already been posted, if not then it should be okay to post.
• Do not use other people's threads to chat amongst yourselves. Use the PM function instead.
• Do not propose/link to any site that contains warez/copyrighted software/materials that can be downloaded illegally.
• Do not discuss illegal activities. Please do not expose us to any unnecessary legal liability.
• Do not link to any site that contains adult content, commercial porn sites etc or might otherwise be considered offensive. Any post containing an inappropriate link will be deleted and the poster will receive a warning.
• Thread titles should be accurate and explain the content of the thread.
• Make sure you have read the parent article/post completely before posting a reply
• Post your comment/question to the most appropriate place. Any posts deemed to be in the wrong forum will be moved. Do not cross-post the same question to multiple places.
• Please use English at all times in the public forums unless in an area where other languages are acceptable. If you post in another language outside of these areas then please provide a translation within your post or your post may be deleted and warned.
• No links to other sites or products for advertising purposes and reflinks via PMs and posts. Persistent offenders will be banned. If you sign up and immediately begin advertising, you will be banned permanently and immediately.
  

If you feel a post violates any of these rules, or you need to bring it to the attention of a moderator (move threads/close/split), please use the report button link to notify the moderators.

Signatures and Avatars:

• May not contain any banners
• You may not have an avatar or signature that contains profanity, or pornography, or a picture of a person scarcely covered
• You may use text and no more than 3 links
• Maximum font size cannot be larger than normal.
• Must be kept to a maximum of five lines
  

Failure to abide by these rules may result in an editing, negative moderation or deletion of your post. We reserve the right to ban abusers from the site. We reserve the right to change these rules at any time.
